Vancouver Houses and Dirt Map

Mapping Vancouver houses and dirt. Visualizing land and building values over time.

The Vancouver Houses and Dirt Map is an attempt to better visualize how land and building values changed over time in Vancouver. I tapped into the Tangram mapping library to use their 3D mapping engine to better visualize the different roles of building and land values.

The map merges tax and property data from the Vancouver Open Data Catalogue with land use data from the Metro Vancouver Open Data Catalogue. Some background and details can be found on our blog.
