Vancouver Tax Density Map
Mapping Vancouver tax density. Visualizing property taxes collected per area by land use and zoning.
The Vancouver Tax Density Map is a side project where I wanted to try out the Tangram mapping library to visualize the relationship between tax density — that is the property taxes collected per area — with land use and zoning in Vancouver.
The map merges tax and property data from the Vancouver Open Data Catalogue with land use data from the Metro Vancouver Open Data Catalogue. Some background and details can be found on our blog.
